Sent to 28 yr old son, who was trying to have meaningful conversations in a bar being the only one not drinking. I told him he was barking up the wrong tree. Go to church they will hear you.

Frankly, I'm tired of dealing with sober people who exhibit the same 'symptoms' as druggo's. It's all too tiring. Do send me your address so I can send you a bottle of wine so you can quaff it whilst moralising about people escaping a crappy reality.

Good glory, I resonated so deeply with this… I’d been wondering how to describe the disconnect in conversation with those who are high/drunk/etc., but you put it so succinctly with that “buffering” statement. Spot on!
